About

*Kit Ingram is a queer Canadian writer based in London and an alumnus of the 2022 Faber Academy Novel Writing course. His work has appeared in magazines such as AmbitMagma, and The North, and is widely anthologised. Recent work of Kit’s has been commended in the Ambit Annual Competition, shortlisted for the Bridport Prize, and longlisted for the National Poetry Competition.

In late 2021, he published Alice and Antius, an illustrated narrative poem, with Penrose Press. Booklife at Publishers Weekly described the work as a ‘moving, gorgeous novel in verse [that] imagines the lives and minds of lovers facing a world ravaged by climate change.’ His debut UK collection is forthcoming from Broken Sleep Books in 2023.

Raised in Calgary, Alberta, on the windswept foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Kit went on to graduate from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in philosophy. He now freelances as a storyteller working with various start-ups, creatives, and Indigenous-run businesses.

When he isn’t considering line breaks or the lives of his characters, you’ll find him playing with his golden retriever, Hugo, or cycling across English Heritage country with a smile on his face.
